Problems of Forcibly Displaced Residents of Hadrut Discussed by Araik Harutyunyan
The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan, received a group of residents from the occupied Hadrut region on March 9.
Discussions were held regarding the resettlement of displaced residents of the villages in other areas of Artsakh. According to the country's leader, the approach of the Artsakh authorities is to preserve the communities with comprehensive settlements, while in certain cases other decisions may also be possible. Some communities have already made their decisions, and construction work will commence in the villages of Noragugh, Khndzoresk, and Ivanyan in the Askeran region after the completion of design works.
Social issues were also discussed during the meeting with the residents of Hadrut. Regarding the fate of the region, Araik Harutyunyan noted that the restoration of the territorial integrity of Artsakh is one of the important issues on the authorities' agenda.
