Human Rights Defender Releases Excerpts from Aliyev's Speech

Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan has published excerpts from the speech of the President of Azerbaijan at the 7th congress of the "New Azerbaijan" party held on March 5. Tatoyan wrote that this speech raises a straightforward question: who is really speaking in the language of fascism, and how can there be peace in these conditions when the president of the country proudly emphasizes that a whole generation is filled with hatred towards Armenia and its population?

Aliyev stated, “The younger generation has grown up with feelings of hatred towards the enemy, and it is that younger generation that liberated our lands from the occupiers.” He added, “We turned Armenia into an uncertain, unstable country with no future. Demographic issues emerged there, leading to the limitation of the economic market.”

According to Aliyev, “Now Armenia is trying to obstruct the operation of the Zangezur corridor, but they will not succeed.” He concluded, “We will achieve all our goals just as we expelled them from our lands.”
