Court Hearing of Robert Kocharyan and Others Postponed Due to Ohanyan's Absence

The judicial hearing of former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan and others was interrupted today as former Defense Minister and defendant Seyran Ohanyan was absent from the session.

It is noted that the hearing was held at the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, presided over by Judge Anna Danibekyan. Kocharyan was present at the hearing.

Ohanyan's lawyer, Karen Mejlumyan, informed that Seyran Ohanyan's health had deteriorated, and he was transferred to a central military hospital on March 7.

"Ohanyan is currently hospitalized. I do not think he will stay in the hospital for long; he will undergo routine examinations today," Mejlumyan stated.

The court inquired how long Ohanyan would remain in the hospital. Mejlumyan had a phone conversation with Ohanyan, who said he could not predict when he would be discharged.

The judge added that the hearing could not continue in Ohanyan's absence, thus it is postponed. The next hearing is scheduled for March 16 at 13:00.
