Snow in Sevan, Dilijan, and Vanadzor; Fog with 50-60 Meter Visibility in Goris
The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia reports that as of 17:30 on March 8, snow is falling in the regions of Artik, Sevan, Dilijan, Ijevan, Noyemberyan, Sisian, Goris, Hrazdan, Martuni, Vanadzor, Tumanyan, and Chambarak, as well as in the Saravane mountain pass.
Due to heavy snow and low visibility, the roads in the Sevan region are difficult to traverse. There is fog in the Goris region, with visibility reduced to 50-60 meters. Blizzards are reported on the Aparan-Kuchak highway and in the Chambarak mountain pass.
The Dilijan serpentine roads and the Vardenyats mountain pass are closed to vehicles with trailers. Drivers are urged to be cautious, strictly adhere to traffic rules, and travel exclusively with winter tires.
