I also congratulate the women whose sons, husbands, and brothers are still standing at the front lines: Prime Minister's message
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of March 8, International Women's Day.
“I warmly congratulate you on the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8. This holiday is celebrated with special warmth and respect in our society, which reflects the special role of women and their invaluable contribution to our community. It is also a result of the respect and boundless love that your husbands, brothers, fathers, and sons have for you.
I would like to especially bow my head in memory of our female soldiers and volunteers who sacrificed their lives for the homeland during the 44-day war.
I send words of respect to the women whose heroic sons, husbands, and brothers fell heroically in the Artsakh war. I also warmly congratulate the women whose sons, husbands, and brothers are still standing at the front lines and continuing their service to the homeland, as well as those women who themselves have either stood or still stand at the front lines of homeland defense.
Your courage and patriotism, demonstrated in the defense of the homeland by you, your sons, husbands, and brothers, will serve as an example for all future generations.
Dear women, on the occasion of the day of protection of your rights, it is important to note that there is still much to be done in our country to enhance the role of women, ensure equal rights, and provide equal opportunities. It should also be noted that the state is making efforts in this direction. Our task is to create opportunities that will allow you to display all your creative abilities and knowledge, and to feel as secure and valued as possible.
Thanks to you, our national best traditions and strong Armenian family are preserved. It is due to your dedication and great strength that you are able to raise educated and patriotic generations for our nation.
Dear women—mothers, sisters, daughters—once again, I congratulate all of you on this beautiful holiday, wishing you family warmth, high spirits, professional success, and new initiatives,” the Prime Minister's message stated.
