Criminal Case Initiated in Artsakh for Causing Over 194 Million Drams in Damage to the State

The Office of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Artsakh has reported that based on materials presented to the Prosecutor General's Office by the Audit Chamber of Artsakh on January 24, 2020, a study and examination conducted by the Division for Protection of State Interests has revealed alleged criminal incidents involving officials who unlawfully transferred their official powers and forged official documents, causing significant property damage to the state amounting to over 194 million drams.

In connection with these findings, a criminal case was initiated on March 5 of this year under Article 323, Part 3 (The transfer of official powers resulting in grave consequences) and Article 345, Part 2 (Forgery committed by a group of individuals with prior agreement) of the Criminal Code of Artsakh.

The special investigative division of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Artsakh is conducting the pre-trial investigation.
