Vazgen Manukyan Believes Early Elections Should Occur Not Under Current Authorities

During a rally on Baghramyan Avenue, one of the main streets in Yerevan, Vazgen Manukyan, the candidate for Prime Minister from the "Homeland Salvation Movement," stated that they will continue to patiently advance their struggle, demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister of Armenia.

“Dear citizens, this Homeland is not just ours, it is also yours. If you want to join, join. If you want to collaborate, then collaborate. If you do not want to collaborate, then create your own organizations and make decisions. The more networked our struggle is, the sooner we will achieve our goal,” said Vazgen Manukyan.

He emphasized the need to organize elections so that the people can make a choice, but this must be done not under the current authorities. He reiterated that their plan is as follows: the Prime Minister of Armenia resigns, a temporary government is formed, the situation in the country stabilizes, and then elections are held.

“This time we need to organize clean elections, and at that time one must monitor the other,” stated Vazgen Manukyan.

Addressing the process of dismissing Chief of Staff Onik Gasparyan, Vazgen Manukyan stressed that they must demand that the President of Armenia fulfills his duties. “Yes, we must be patient, but moderate. They say that the people do not have the right to rebel, but who said that? The people must be able to stand up and do what they want. Gather, organize, and collaborate with each other, and we will win,” added Vazgen Manukyan.
