Those Presenting Territorial Losses as Guarantees for Peace are Naive Traitors: Abrahamyan

Tigran Abrahamyan, head of the 'Henaket' analytical center and former security advisor to the President of Artsakh, made a Facebook post stating:

“Interestingly, various groups appearing in defense of the authority, including those fleeing from uncomfortable questions posed by journalists, are either covertly or openly trying to convince the public that we have not actually ceded land, territories, or our homeland. They argue that Kharabakh, Hadrut, Shusha, and Artsakh in general are not Armenian; the Armenians simply lived there due to 'the events,' and the demands by Turks regarding these areas are nothing more than a matter of restoring 'historical justice.'

Some people in Armenia have come to terms not only with the territories ceded as a result of the war and through signed or secret agreements but are even indifferent towards the parts of Artsakh that remain under Armenian control and the region of Syunik.

The authorities, as a direction of the state information policy, are trying to convince people that ceding Artsakh and Syunik is a guarantee for long-term peace and stability in the region; some even present this belief as conviction. Let me say right away: this approach is going to bring us to the brink of war at some point. Those who present losses of the homeland as guarantees for peace are naive traitors, and they should later be addressed by law enforcement agencies.”
