Prime Minister and US Secretary of State Hold Phone Conversation: Classic 'Leveling Down' - Sargsyan

International relations expert Suren Sargsyan has made a post on his Facebook page, informing that the Prime Minister of Armenia and the US Secretary of State have held a phone conversation.

In recent weeks, the President and Vice President of the United States have been actively engaging in phone conversations with leaders from Saudi Arabia, Guatemala, Congo, Kenya, and around a hundred other countries.

Interestingly, it is a rare occurrence for the Secretary of State to call the head of state directly; typically, the call is directed to the Foreign Minister. The last conversation held by our Foreign Minister was with the US Deputy Secretary of State, Stephen Biggen.

I refer to this as a classic 'leveling down'.
