President Has the Right to Appeal to the Constitutional Court Until March 9, Ara Zohrabyan

The President has the right to appeal to the Constitutional Court regarding the dismissal of the Chief of the General Staff until March 9, stated Ara Zohrabyan, the President of the Chamber of Advocates, in front of the Ministry of Defense.

“The President must either appeal to the Constitutional Court or sign the decree and agree with the Prime Minister. The President has acknowledged that there is a problem and that the issue is quite deep, as high-ranking officers have joined the Chief of Staff. The President still has a few days to appeal to the Constitutional Court. If he does not appeal to the Constitutional Court, it turns out that he is encouraging these issues to be resolved on the streets—unconstitutionally,” Zohrabyan announced.

It is noteworthy that in front of the Ministry of Defense, military personnel and citizens were staging a rally in support of Chief of Staff Onik Gasparyan. They went to the President's residence to demand he fulfill his constitutional duties.
