Nikol Pashinyan Recently Showed He Is Unfit to Remain Prime Minister of Armenia, Says Vanetsyan
Initially, the authorities tried to turn this struggle into a clash between the past and present for power, a fight over the seat of authority, but our society has understood that this is not the case. This was stated today, March 6, during a conversation with reporters on Baghramyan Avenue by Arthur Vanetsyan, head of the 'Homeland' party.
'There is definitely a significant change in the mood of our people. Initially, the authorities attempted to frame this struggle as a struggle between the past and the present, for power, but our society has realized that this is not about that, but about more serious matters—our country's existence, future, and the well-being of our people. Today, Baghramyan Avenue is also visited by people who do not support us, who do not sympathize with the 'Homeland Salvation Movement,' but they come here to express their protest and stance,' Vanetsyan said.
According to Arthur Vanetsyan, the agenda of the 'Homeland Salvation Movement' remains the same: Nikol Pashinyan's resignation, the formation of a temporary government, and then snap parliamentary elections.
'Who should be in power in Armenia should be decided by the people through free expression of will. Nikol Pashinyan has recently shown that he is unfit to remain Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. Nikol Pashinyan will not be able to ensure fair elections if they are organized under his premiership; they will not enjoy the trust of the majority of the people,' Vanetsyan emphasized.
In Vanetsyan's opinion, the rumors circulating in the media that Onik Gasparyan may arrest Nikol Pashinyan are extreme: 'I want to be assured that there will be no need for such extreme measures and that this entire issue will be resolved within the framework of our country's Constitution.'
