Anahit Avanesyan's Delegation Visits Artsakh
The delegation led by Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan is currently in Artsakh, according to the ministry's Facebook page.
In Stepanakert, the guests arriving from Yerevan were welcomed by the Minister of Health of Artsakh, Mikael Hayriyan. The parties discussed the challenges facing the healthcare system due to the pandemic, talked about joint projects being implemented and planned, and discussed the process of modernizing the healthcare system in post-war Artsakh.
The heads of the healthcare departments also addressed the measures taken for the treatment and physical and psychological rehabilitation of injured servicemen and civilians.
Minister Avanesyan visited the medical center in Stepanakert and then went to the ‘Caroline Cox Rehabilitation Center’ of the Artsakh Ministry of Health. The director of the center, Vardan Tadevosyan, introduced the minister to the facility's capabilities and the treatment process for patients.
Following this, the delegation led by the minister was received by the State Minister and Minister of Finance of Artsakh, Grigor Martirosyan. The meeting addressed issues related to joint healthcare initiatives and programs between the two states. Martirosyan emphasized the high level of cooperation between the health ministries of the Republic of Armenia and Artsakh, especially evident during the war and successfully continuing afterward.
At the end of the busy agenda, the delegation from Armenia was received by the President of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan. He expressed gratitude to the healthcare system and doctors of Armenia, thanks to whom thousands of lives were saved during and after the war, and who continue to fight for the health of the wounded.
