Passengers Required to Wear Masks in Public Transport

The State Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety Inspection Body of Armenia urges strict adherence to anti-epidemic rules while using public transport, as there has been an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in recent days. Passengers are advised to wear masks, sanitize their hands with alcohol-based disinfectants before boarding, and to have exact change for fares to minimize the need for returning or receiving change.

Operators and individuals engaged in regular passenger transport are encouraged to require passengers to wear masks inside the vehicle, ensure proper sanitation of the vehicle, and adhere to the seating capacity of the vehicle to avoid overcrowding.

It is reminded that if the rate of spread of the coronavirus disease increases, the issue of imposing restrictions on the use of public transport and measures of accountability will be considered.
