Discussion on the Construction of a New Metro Station in Ajapnyak

The issue of constructing a new metro station is currently in the discussion phase. This was stated today, March 5, during a meeting with journalists by Gevorg Avetisyan, the acting director of the Yerevan Metro.

He clarified that discussions are ongoing within a working group. He also mentioned that the new station is set to be built in Ajapnyak.

“I cannot say anything about the timelines,” Avetisyan noted. He added that discussions are also taking place regarding changes to the payment system.

“In 2019, broken and damaged tokens were replaced with new ones,” he mentioned.

It should be recalled that discussions about building a metro station in Ajapnyak have been ongoing for several decades.
