Free Higher Education in Artsakh Available to Armenian Citizens, Says Araik Harutyunyan
Artsakh President Araik Harutyunyan met on March 4 with Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Lusine Karakhanyan, heads of Artsakh universities, and other education officials. The discussions focused on a number of issues related to the international accreditation of Artsakh universities and the organization of the educational process for the 2021-2022 academic year.
President Harutyunyan announced that starting from the new academic year, higher education in Artsakh will also be free for citizens of the Republic of Armenia. He suggested that the ministry and universities review the list of specialties and pay attention to the quality of education, including inviting specialists when necessary.
“Quality education must become one of the hallmarks of Artsakh, and the government will spare no effort in this direction,” the president stated. In this regard, he issued several instructions aimed at developing actions to achieve this goal.
