Evening Shell Fell Among Us: 8 Dead and 25 Injured, Says Sasun Mikayelyan

"We lost because we were not ready for this war," stated Sasun Mikayelyan, the president of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union and a member of parliament from the My Step alliance, during a broadcast on Public Television.

He recounted the details of his injury and responded to various comments and what he referred to as misinformation regarding the incident.

"I was the last to leave in the final vehicle. We arrived in Ishkhanadzor and crossed the bridge into a kind of alcove. I brought all the troops there, awaiting orders to either head towards Kubatli or Ishkhanadzor. Around 22:00 in the evening, a shell fell among us. 8 people died, and 25 were injured. If the second shell had landed, none of us would have made it alive," Mikayelyan detailed, adding that he has undergone four surgeries and is gradually recovering.
