Turkish National Flag Discarded in Trash in Antalya

The Turkish national flag has been found in a trash can in the Kumluja district of Antalya, southern Turkey, reports ermenihaber.

Residents of the city photographed the flag and posted it online, sparking a wave of hysteria among extremist circles within Turkish society.

In response to the incident, the chief prosecutor's office of Kumluja has launched an investigation, and gendarmerie and police forces affiliated with the municipality have been dispatched to the scene.

It later became clear that the sailors of Kumluja had not noticed that the bag they were discarding contained Turkish flags and banners with the logo of the Kumluja municipality. These items had been distributed to the sailors during one of last year's celebrations.
