The Mayor of Ptghni Assaults the Son of an 'My Step' Parliament Member; The Reason is Known

According to the daily newspaper 'Zhoghovurd', the head of Ptghni community, Arakel Virabyan, recently used violence against one of the sons of the MP Kristine Poghosyan from the 'My Step' faction in the National Assembly.

Our sources indicate that the incident occurred specifically because the young man is the son of an 'My Step' parliament member. 'Zhoghovurd' tried to understand what transpired between the mayor and the parliament member’s son. In response to our inquiry, Kristine Poghosyan confirmed that such an incident has occurred but did not wish to provide further details, leaving the matter uncommented.

We also spoke with the mayor of Ptghni, Rafael Virabyan, who attempted to deny that any incident took place. 'Me? I assaulted someone? This is the first time I am hearing about it. No incident has occurred; I am hearing about it for the first time from you,' he stated.

Regardless of the mayor's denial of the incident, MP Poghosyan informed 'Zhoghovurd' that the police are handling the case.
