Chief of General Staff Cannot be Considered Dismissed 'by the Force of Law' - Melikyan
I have read so much Constitution, law, and interpretations, weighing them left and right, that I feel like an attempted military coup has begun.
This was stated by human rights defender Ruben Melikyan on Facebook.
"Nonetheless, my conclusion is that even if the President appeals to the Constitutional Court not regarding the decree to dismiss the Chief of General Staff, but about the constitutionality of the law underlying it, the Chief of General Staff still cannot be considered 'dismissed by the force of law', because this application will be inextricably linked to the issue of the constitutionality of the decree in question.
P.S. The correct approach, of course, is to resolve the Gordian knot in the 'traditional' way," wrote Melikyan.
