Ararat Mirzoyan Asks Valentina Matviyenko for Assistance in the Return of Two Captured Women

The President of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, during a phone conversation with Valentina Matviyenko, the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, requested assistance in the matter of returning two women held captive in Azerbaijan.

According to Armenpress, Matviyenko announced this in an interview with RIA Novosti. “I have already had a phone conversation with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Sahiba Gafarova, urging her to consider the possibility of returning those women. Since it concerns women, it is particularly sensitive and very concerning. I hope that the Azerbaijani side will respond to this request,” stated Matviyenko.
