Tigran Abrahamyan Expresses Concern Over Jalal Harutyunyan's Comments
The former commander of the Defense Army and currently the head of the Defense Ministry's Inspection Service, Jalal Harutyunyan, commented on the demand from the Armed Forces General Staff for the resignation of the Prime Minister and the government. This was reported on the Facebook page of Tigran Abrahamyan, the head of the "Henaket" analytical center.
Harutyunyan stated: "I am a soldier by birth, always alongside the army, and that will never change. At this stage, I will not succumb to any provocation. I will speak in detail after the surgery." Initially, I wish the general good health; may the recovery process be successful and swift.
However, one thing in this comment concerns me: the general speaks about some kind of provocation against him. I assume that the highest leadership of the Armed Forces and the military are under unprecedented pressure from the authorities, including the danger of provocations.
I warn the authorities: stay away from the military, keep your hands off. If anything happens to anyone, YOU WILL NOT GET AWAY WITH IT. The government has declared a war of "compromat" against everyone—those in My Step, those who do not share the views of the government, and the military. The goal is singular: to trample on people, dismantle the state, and extend their own power at any cost.
