Statement from the Armenian Armed Forces

The head of the information department of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Colonel Samvel Asatryan, writes on his Facebook page:

STATEMENT OF THE ARMENIAN ARMED FORCES

Dear compatriots,

The leadership of the Armed Forces again reaffirms its assessments regarding the current situation and emphasizes that, regardless of attempts to embroil the Armed Forces in political processes, it remains steadfast, measured, and determined.

The Armed Forces, composed of sons of our people and anticipating national security threats, considers it unacceptable and urges the cessation of unfounded accusations directed at the Armed Forces and specific officials.

The current situation illustrates that the Armed Forces is guided solely by the interests of the state and serves only its people, operating within the framework of the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Armenia.
