Deadline for Entering Russia with 'Traveling without COVID-19' App Extended

The Government of the Russian Federation has extended the deadline for entering Russia using the 'Traveling Without COVID-19' app until April 1, as reported by Armenpress, citing RIA Novosti.

"The government has confirmed the order..., which provides for the extension of the use of the 'Traveling Without COVID-19' mobile application until April 1, 2021, for presenting negative results of tests for the new coronavirus infection when crossing the Russian state border at certain checkpoints," the statement said.

Previously, the implementation deadline was set until March 1.

According to the cabinet of ministers, citizens of EAEU member states can enter Russia through simplified procedures via Armenia and Belarus using the special mobile application 'Traveling Without COVID-19'. The government believes that the app simplifies the procedure for movement between countries for residents of EAEU countries while ensuring compliance with existing requirements.
