The investigation conducted by the Investigative Committee of the Vayots Dzor region has clarified several circumstances surrounding the death of a 62-year-old resident of Getap village. Charges have been brought against a 44-year-old man from the same region.
During the preliminary investigation of the criminal case, factual evidence was obtained indicating that the 62-year-old resident sustained life-threatening injuries during a confrontation with the 44-year-old man from Yeghegnodzor city.
Specifically, on February 22, 2021, around 8:20 PM, the resident of Yeghenosdor met with the 62-year-old man for clarifications regarding a personal matter in the vicinity of a shop in the Getap community of the Gladzor region.
The process of clarifying the issue escalated into a dispute, during which mutual insults were exchanged.
