Cases of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Reported in Stepanakert
The Police of the Republic of Artsakh reports that on February 28, a notification was received from the Republican Medical Center about incidents of carbon monoxide poisoning. At 19:45, two residents of building number 4 on A. Manukyan Street in the capital, born in 1940, A. B., and born in 1975, E. S., were admitted due to poisoning.
It was determined that the individuals had been poisoned around 19:30 the same day due to the carbon monoxide emitted from the gas water heater installed in their bathroom.
The city department of the Stepanakert Police is conducting an investigation.
On March 1, reports were received from the ‘Arevik’ Pediatric Medical Center and the Republican Medical Center to the Stepanakert Police about additional cases of poisoning. At 04:20 AM, residents of G. Lusavorich Street, born in 2003, T. A., born in 2006, A. A., and born in 1982, Zh. A., were admitted for carbon monoxide poisoning.
It has been established that these individuals were poisoned at approximately 03:00 AM due to carbon monoxide from the gas water heater installed in their kitchen.
The city department of the Stepanakert Police is conducting an investigation.
