Azerbaijan Prohibits Search Operations in Areas Outside Artsakh Control

Since February 15, search operations have been halted in territories that came under Azerbaijani control. On February 20, the news outlet 'Hetq' reported that search operations in Artsakh were not being conducted due to adverse weather conditions. The State Emergency Service of Artsakh informed 'Hetq' that operations would resume on February 22, provided that the weather conditions are favorable. However, the Azerbaijani side has prohibited search operations in areas outside of Artsakh's control without providing any commentary.

“The operations have been on hold for 15 days now, and the Azerbaijanis are not giving any comments or mentioning the reasons,” said Hunan Tadevosyan, head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the State Emergency Service of Artsakh, in an interview with us.
