Acting Mayor of Martuni in Artsakh Denies Reports of Nzhdeh Statue Being Covered

In the town of Martuni, the statue of Garegin Nzhdeh has been temporarily covered with a tarp to bring it to completion. This was announced by the acting mayor of Martuni, Aznavour Saghyan, during a conversation with the 'Amaras' official newspaper of the Martuni district administration, refuting information regarding the statue being obscured.

“Certain parts of Nzhdeh's statue have been covered by sculptor Armen Petrosyan to prepare it for its final appearance. There can be no talk of covering or dismantling it. Such a decision or directive does not exist from any authority or individual,” Saghyan noted.
