What We Are Implementing is Coming to an End: Vazgen Manukyan
The Armenian people stand by the army, just as the army stands by the people, and now the President of the Republic has also aligned himself with the army.
At a rally on Baghramyan Avenue, Vazgen Manukyan, the united candidate for Prime Minister from the opposition, congratulated the participants of the rally on President Armen Sarkissian's decision to return the draft decree for the dismissal of Onik Gasparyan from the position of Chief of the General Staff.
"Victory," he proclaimed loudly. The attendees welcomed the President's decision.
"It's time for the other structures to declare their opinions," Manukyan said, urging all power structures to make statements supporting the army. According to him, otherwise, they are against the army.
"It’s time for us to take action. What we are implementing is coming to an end. We will all participate in that conclusion. This moment is a great victory," Manukyan stated, announcing that the next opposition rally would take place on Monday at 4:00 PM. The rally participants will march through the capital and return to Baghramyan Avenue again.
