We Sent 4 Trucks of Goods, Each Carrying 20-21 Tons, Which Never Reached the Army. The Goods Were in the Name of Haik Sargsyan - Badal Palyan
“About 3,700 people gathered in our group, and since September 27, we have been continuing to support our compatriots, providing food and clothing for around 30,000 displaced residents of Artsakh and our soldiers,” said Badal Palyan, who resides in Russia and represents the initiative "Armenians, Unite," during a press conference.
He recounted that initially, they were unsure how to fill out the paperwork. They applied to the Armenian Embassy in Russia, from where they were informed that there would be an issue if someone were to send the goods and later refuse to accept them. They suggested sending the goods in the name of Armenian MP Haik Sargsyan.
“We sent 4 trucks of goods, each carrying 20-21 tons. When we came to receive them, they said, ‘We cannot give them to you, Badal, because you sent the goods to Haik Sargsyan,’” the businessman explained.
“Throughout the entire war, we kept ourselves separated, even sending money to a foundation, and we are waiting for them to provide an account. We demand to know how much has arrived. We have seen with our own eyes that the goods have arrived, but we don’t know where they went. I haven’t paid my rent for two months due to the issues this has caused; I have gone into debt and taken loans, and many others like me have done the same. But we did not do this to leave them in warehouses. The bulletproof vests could have saved lives,” said Badal Palyan.
He stated that they demand an explanation from Haik Sargsyan.
