The Army Staff Announcement Was a Signal Against the Executive Power: Edmon Marukyan

Edmon Marukyan, the head of the Luys i Lerrn party, stated today on Public Television that the announcement regarding the General Staff of the Armed Forces was a signal against the executive power, indicating that the leadership has reached a breaking point and is dismantling the Army Staff.

“If the head of the country cannot communicate effectively with his military commanders, then it is necessary to assess whether the problem lies with him or with the leaders,” Marukyan added. “I want to emphasize that the problem lies with the country’s leader because he has issues with everyone. The leaders of the entire General Staff are individuals appointed by Pashinyan, with no ties to previous officials. Thus, Pashinyan is unable to find common ground even with the new appointees he has put in place, which is plunging the country into a deep crisis,” Marukyan concluded.
