Prime Minister Has Not Invited Onik Gasparyan for a Meeting: Mane Gevorgyan

There are reports that the government has contacted the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, informing him that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan requests Onik Gasparyan to attend a meeting at the government at 9 AM. However, Onik Gasparyan allegedly declined, stating, "Tell him that I am at the General Staff, in my workplace. If he needs me, let him come."

To obtain a comment on this matter, 24News reached out to Prime Minister Pashinyan's spokesperson, Mane Gevorgyan. She responded that she does not wish to comment on such rumors. "Who said that the prime minister invited Onik Gasparyan? He said he is needed and that the prime minister should come. Do not believe such false news," said Mane Gevorgyan.

It is noteworthy that on February 25, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia issued a statement demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister and the government while warning against using force against the people. Following this announcement, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called on his supporters to gather at Republic Square, describing the General Staff's statement as an attempted military coup and announced that he had submitted a petition to dismiss the Chief of the General Staff, Onik Gasparyan.
