President to Meet with Delegation of 'Homeland Salvation Movement' at 15:40
Participants of the Homeland Salvation Movement staged a march to the presidential residence, calling on the President of Armenia to meet with their delegation to convey their concerns and opinions.
Vahagn Saakanyan informed that a representative of the President approached the movement’s participants and announced that the President will meet with the Homeland Salvation Movement delegation at 15:40. At that moment, the President was in another meeting. The representatives will meet with Armen Sarkissian and then report back to the participants on Baghramyan Avenue regarding the results of the meeting.
They are demanding that the President clearly articulate his response concerning the dismissal of the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces.
The march is ongoing along Proshyan Street, aimed at raising public awareness and expressing dissent, and as they stated, they will also visit other institutions along the way. The participants of the movement consider Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's proposal to dismiss the Chief of General Staff unconstitutional and believe that the President should return the proposal with objections to the Prime Minister, and if the Prime Minister submits the proposal again, they hope the President will turn to the Constitutional Court.
