Mayor's Spokesman Explains Why Mayor Did Not Attend Rally

Several lawmakers from the My Step alliance, ministers, and other representatives of the ruling faction attended the rally called by Nikol Pashinyan yesterday, but the Mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan, who actively participated in the 2018 revolution, was absent.

Media outlets inquired with the mayor's spokesman, Hakob Karapetyan, about the reason for Hayk Marutyan's absence from the rally and subsequent march, given his active involvement in the significant events of 2018.

“The Mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan, has been engaged in fulfilling his work obligations throughout the day yesterday,” Hakob Karapetyan replied.
