Emergency Situations Ministry on Armenia's Road Conditions

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports: "There are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads across the territory of the Republic of Armenia. The roads from the 'Amberd' high-altitude weather station in the Aragatsotn Province to the Amberd Fortress and to the Kʼari Lake are closed. The Vardenyats Pass is open to all types of vehicles. In the Syunik Province, and in the Shirak Province's Ashotsq region, there are patches of black ice on the Vanadzor-Dilijan road.

Regarding the Lars situation, according to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open to all types of vehicles; however, there are about 480 trucks stranded on the Russian side. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires."
