Ara Aivazyan Conducts Phone Conversation with Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister

On February 26, Foreign Minister Ara Aivazyan had a phone conversation with Ekaterina Zakharieva, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The interlocutors highly appreciated the Armenian-Bulgarian relations based on historical friendship and numerous cultural ties. They discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda and emphasized mutual readiness to take steps towards further enrichment and strengthening of these relations.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Bulgaria also exchanged thoughts on established cooperation within the EU, highlighting the full entry into force of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between Armenia and the EU as particularly significant in this context.

During the phone conversation, Ministers Aivazyan and Zakharieva discussed issues of regional stability and security. Minister Aivazyan drew his partner's attention to the humanitarian situation created in Artsakh as a result of Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression, as well as to the steps being taken to address it.
