The Knife Has Reached the Bone: Movses Hakobyan on the General Staff's Call for the Prime Minister's Resignation

The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia issued a statement today demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The statement was signed by all senior officers of the General Staff.

“I believe the knife has reached the bone; that’s why the General Staff has made such a statement,” Movses Hakobyan, former Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, told ArmDaily.am.

He added that, to everyone's satisfaction, all personnel serving in the army are aware individuals. “To everyone's satisfaction, all those serving in the army are conscious individuals and do not elevate personal matters above state issues. Until now, they have tried to remain restrained, focusing on our country's security issues and not getting entangled in political farce. However, I think the cup has overflowed, and the commanders can no longer endure,” noted Movses Hakobyan.
