Russian Defense Ministry Statement Suggests Possible Miscommunication to Prime Minister: Alen Simonyan
“The Russian Defense Ministry’s statement also suggests that perhaps the Prime Minister was not accurately briefed,” said Alen Simonyan.
“I believe you are familiar with the statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense, and without wanting to delve deeply into the history of the ‘Iskander’ issue, I can say that a conclusion must be drawn regarding the Prime Minister’s announcement, related to the resignation, and today’s statement from the Russian Defense Ministry that ‘Iskander’ was not used. It is also mentioned there that perhaps the Prime Minister was not accurately briefed,” said Alen Simonyan, the Vice President of the National Assembly, during a discussion on the ‘Iskander’ topic on Public Television.
In response to P. Ghazaryan’s clarifying question about whether the ‘Iskander’ was not used and if the Prime Minister was misinformed, the Vice President responded, “I do not want to talk about this now. Let us compare the three pieces of information, put them side by side, and leave the conclusions for later. I assure you that we will have a lot to discuss later, and there will be very interesting information related to this matter, and it may not even be limited to ‘Iskander’.”
