Chief of General Staff Rejects Resignation Demands, Stating 'Army's Demands are Irrevocable'

Information has circulated online indicating that the Chief of the General Staff, Onik Gasparyan, has sharply rejected demands for his resignation, stating, "The army's demands are irrevocable."

Generals have also signaled to Prime Minister Pashinyan that if the pressure on Onik Gasparyan continues, the situation will further escalate.

Earlier reports indicated that the Director of the NSS, Armen Abazyan, and the President of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, had entered Gasparyan's office, locking the door from the inside to demand his resignation.
