Resolution of the Crisis Impossible Without Prime Minister's Resignation: LHK Statement
The political crisis in the country is deepening, and there is an urgent need to return the processes to a political course. This was stated in a communiqué released by the council of the 'Enlightened Armenia' party.
The statement also noted: 'Otherwise, the risk of clashes and a new 'March 1' is high. We must never forget that day and must not allow again for an Armenian to raise a hand against another Armenian in Armenia. The processes must remain within the framework of constitutionalism, and a smooth change of power must take place. The resolution of the crisis is now impossible without the resignation of the Prime Minister.'
Earlier, it was reported that the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia's General Staff issued a statement indicating that the Prime Minister and the government are no longer capable of making adequate decisions. The statement also emphasized that the General Staff leadership demands the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan. Following the General Staff's statement, Nikol Pashinyan went live, announcing that he had signed an order to dismiss Onik Gasparyan from the position of Chief of the General Staff.
