Levon Ter-Petrosyan Issues Statement

lur.am has released the statement of Armenia's first president, Levon Ter-Petrosyan:

“The imperative of exiting the current crisis without new losses is to avoid the danger of civil war and to overcome internal political conflicts exclusively through constitutional means. A civil war would not only be a tremendous gift to the Turkish-Azerbaijani alliance but would also be disastrous for both Artsakh and Armenia, as well as for the entire Armenian nation. I hope that political parties concerned about the fate of the nation, public and political groups, law enforcement agencies, esteemed representatives of the intelligentsia, and all forces that have a sense of responsibility will exert their full influence to prevent such a catastrophic prospect.”
