Police Will One Day Demand Pashinyan's Resignation, Says Kapan Mayor

The Mayor of Kapan, Gevorg Parsyan, is also in favor of the demand for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's resignation made by the General Staff. In an interview with ArmDaily.am, Parsyan stated, “The possibility of inciting civil clashes depends on rhetoric. As for the dismissal of Onik Gasparyan from the position of Chief of General Staff, I believe that he is making a huge mistake and has erred, because I personally know Onik Gasparyan from the specific defense of Kapan's borders during wartime. I hold him in high regard as a patriotic, selfless, and decent individual.”

The Kapan mayor believes that Nikol Pashinyan must ultimately understand that he has to resign. “He has reached a point where even the General Staff is demanding his resignation. He continuously deepens this crisis by clinging to the prime ministerial chair. And yes, the day will come when the police will also one day demand his resignation.”

Regarding the Prime Minister's decision to call people to the streets, the Kapan mayor thinks that the Prime Minister is making his last-ditch efforts to hold onto power. He added that the people in Syunik were initially on their feet, demanding Nikol Pashinyan's resignation, so there has not been any change in that regard so far.
