I Am Also a Soldier and Today I Stand with the General Staff. Pashinyan's Words Mean Nothing to Me. Yeranosyan
The General Staff has made its final statement. The representatives of the General Staff will firmly stand by their words and remain alongside the people until the end. This was stated by former Deputy Police Chief Levon Yeranosyan during a conversation with reporters on Baghramyan Avenue.
"I am also a soldier and today I am with the General Staff, with my people. Do not associate me with the name of Nikol Pashinyan; I do not recognize such a person. His words mean nothing to me," said the former deputy police chief.
In response to a question about his own past use of tough measures to quell civil disobedience, Levon Yeranosyan stated that internal troops have never taken harsh measures. "Yes, I ensured that there was no bloodshed in Khorenatsi. Who instigated the clashes, you know very well. I was the leader in Sari Tagh. I urged you to go in that direction. Thanks to us, there was no bloodshed. Let no one attempt to alter that today. On April 16, 2018, one person instigated bloodshed, but I did not allow it," he added.
