Escalation of the Situation is Destructive: The Mother See Issues a Statement

The further escalation of the situation is unacceptable and destructive. The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin has issued a statement urging the public to demonstrate wisdom and responsibility, to refrain from provocations, and to avoid civil clashes.

“The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, following the statements of the highest command staff and the subsequent declarations of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, is closely and with deep concern observing the developments surrounding them. In this post-war crisis situation, when the homeland is facing numerous political, economic, and social challenges, the unceasing calls for accusations and political vendettas jeopardize national unity and security,” the statement from the Mother See reads.

The Mother See urges the leadership of our country and all political forces to seek solutions to the created extreme situation at the negotiating table for the sake of our homeland and people.

“May God keep our homeland and our people in peace and tranquility under His Holy right hand,” concludes the Mother See's statement with a blessing and good wishes.
