Multiple Theft Cases Revealed in Armavir Region

The investigative department of the Armavir Regional Investigative Committee has uncovered a series of theft cases that occurred in the Armavir region, as reported by the Committee's Information and Public Relations Department.

According to the collected evidence, a 53-year-old resident of Yerevan, on November 29, 2020, around 3:00 AM, with the premeditated intent to secretly steal someone else's property, unlawfully entered an unsealed door of a workshop located on Yervand Kochar Street in the village of Tairian and stole various household items, causing significant property damage to the citizen.

Additionally, between 2018 and 2020, the 53-year-old man illegally accessed a manhole cover on the sidewalk of 204 Mairakayan Street in the same village multiple times by prying it open with a metal rod and, using an agricultural scissors he had taken beforehand, secretly cut the telephone line, causing substantial property damage to the company.

Based on the gathered evidence, the 53-year-old man has been charged under Article 177, Part 2, Points 2 and 3 of the Armenian Criminal Code and Article 177, Part 2, Point 3 (3 episodes). The preliminary investigation has been completed, and the criminal case has been sent to court with an accusatory conclusion.
