“Everyone is guilty, except him. It turns out the weapon was bad. Let him buy the weapon he likes in 2 years,” says Solovyov

Russian journalist and prominent television commentator Vladimir Solovyov discussed the statements made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan about the inefficacy of the Russian Iskander operational-tactical missile system alongside military expert Semyon Baghdasarov in his YouTube program, Solovyov LIVE.

“The person who is guilty of the most horrific tragedy that has occurred with the Armenian people in the last hundred years, has not faced such humiliation in a century. This man declares that everyone is guilty, except for him—the country’s chief supreme commander. It turns out the weapon was bad. He should have bought the weapon he liked in two years,” emphasized Solovyov.

“First of all, Pashinyan's knowledge on armament is extremely simplistic. I will never forget how he spoke about the little effectiveness of the OSA and Oka missile systems. The fact is that the Oka is not a missile system but an operational-tactical missile that was once part of the Soviet army's arsenal and was eliminated at the initiative of Gorbachev and Shevardnadze,” Baghdasarov noted, highlighting Pashinyan's lack of awareness.

“This is not his statement… He is told what to declare, and he declares it. And who forces him to say that? Let’s call things by their names. We have a mistaken idea about the situation created in Armenia… He is simply one who was chosen by Soros-like structures from the so-called opposition in Armenia and made the head of the country,” added Baghdasarov.

In an interview with 1in.am the day before, Nikol Pashinyan responded to former president Serzh Sargsyan’s statement regarding why the Iskander was not used on the 3rd or 4th day of the war. Nver Mnatsakanyan had asked Pashinyan whether that remark was directed at him, to which Pashinyan replied, “That remark may also be addressed to me, but I think the rejected one should know answers to many questions and not pose questions to which he knows the answers. Perhaps they should respond as to why the fired Iskander (the missile) did not explode or exploded, for instance, at only 10 percent.” When asked if such things happen, Pashinyan noted, “I don’t know. Maybe it was ammunition from the 80s?”
