Employee of HETC "Araks" Branch Transferred Unconscious to Hospital, Later Died
Today, 63-year-old Karapet Avagyan, a resident of the village of Getap in the Vayots Dzor region, died in the intensive care unit of the "Yeghnagzor" medical center.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, he was admitted to the hospital on February 22 at around 22:50 with severe bodily injuries including "soft tissue damage on the left side of the head, cranial injury, and soft tissue damage to the brain." The operational group of the Yeghnagzor Police Department, led by Deputy Chief Arsen Khachatryan, arrived at the medical center.
Doctors at the hospital informed the police that he was in an unconscious state and unable to provide any explanation about what had happened. In connection with the incident, materials are being prepared in the investigative department of the Yeghnagzor Police.
According to G. Shamshyan, the deceased was employed by the "Araks" branch of the Armenian Electric Networks Company. The police are investigating the circumstances under which Karapet Avagyan sustained his injuries.
