The Issue Remains Under 24-Hour Attention: Ayvazyan on the Armenian Prisoner of War Situation

Search operations for bodies in areas under Azerbaijani control have been suspended due to adverse weather conditions. This was stated by Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan during a brief press briefing with reporters in the National Assembly, assuring that work will resume once climatic conditions improve.

Regarding the issue of prisoners of war, Ayvazyan added that this matter remains under their 24-hour attention. He noted, “International pressure is gradually increasing, and as I predicted, the creation of artificial obstacles for the repatriation of prisoners, Azerbaijani hostage-taking is slowly becoming a headache for Azerbaijan. We are hopeful that Azerbaijan will abandon this hostage-taking policy and will promptly provide a positive solution to this vital humanitarian issue.”

In response to rumors regarding his potential dismissal, Ayvazyan briefly stated, “I am working in an active mode.”
