Men Detained for Stealing Around 1.8 Million Dram Worth of Cemetery Decorations

On February 15, the police department of Nubarashen received information that led to the detention of a 40-year-old man from the capital, suspected of committing theft from the nearby area of the Nubarashen cemetery.

During the investigation, it became clear that on February 11, the detainee, having reached a preliminary agreement with one of his acquaintances, stole aluminum decorations from the grave of the cemetery.

The law enforcement officials also identified the co-perpetrator of the theft, a 63-year-old resident of Yerevan. Police discovered that these individuals had committed around three dozen similar thefts from the cemetery. According to preliminary data, the total damage amounts to approximately 1.8 million dram. An investigation is underway.
