Lars is Open for All Types of Vehicles; About 600 Trucks Accumulated on the Russian Side
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia. The Berd-Jambarak road is closed, as well as the roads from the 'Amberd' mountain weather station in Aragatsotn region to the Amberd Fortress and to the K'ari Lake.
The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to navigate for trucks with trailers. In the Syunik region, there are icy patches in the Sisian-Zanger and Shurnukh-Nor Aradjor segments. Snow is falling in the city of Jermuk in Vayots Dzor province. The section of the M-2 interstate road from the village of Harjis to the Tatev junction is closed for trucks with trailers in both directions, while it is open for others.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires. According to information from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Department and the Russian Emergencies Ministry's North Ossetia crisis management center, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of transport.
