Avanesyan Retains European Title for the Third Consecutive Time

The Armenian boxer, 31-year-old Davit Avanesyan, has successfully retained his European champion title in professional boxing in the 66.68 kg weight category by defeating Josh Kelly via technical knockout in the sixth round.

26-year-old Kelly suffered his first career loss in this match. Avanesyan became the European champion in March 2019 by defeating Spanish boxer Kevin Lejarraga, and in December 2020, he defended his title by knocking out Spanish competitor Jose del Rio in the first round.
